A Father’s Delight || Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses

Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV) tells us that “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

I was talking to someone the other day we were talking about fathers and also about god she told me she has a hard time seeing God as a good father because her father wasn’t the best example I think a lot of times the way we view our earthly dad is how we view god maybe your dad was a disciplinarian just waiting to you messed up again maybe he was distant maybe he didn’t have time for you some people view god as a big ogre with the club waiting to smack you the minute you do something wrong.

In Zephaniah three seventeen it says for the Lord your God is living among you he is a mighty savior you will take delight in you with gladness with his love you will calm all your fears he will rejoice over you with joyful songs he really is a good good father even if we didn’t have one of those here on earth we can always look to him.

EE father lord those of us that didn’t have the best example for a father on this earth lord I pray that you would give revelation more into who you are and how you love us but you’re not waiting to hit us over the head your word tells us that you were patient you were there when we fall and stumble to reach down and to help us back up to our feet and lord we know that we can turn to you when things aren’t going right but it seems like the whole world is against us your word says that you care for us and that you desire a relationship with us. You are a loving father who gives us that revelation as we put our trust in you. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
