Ask Your Father || 1 John 5:14-15 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses
1 John 5:14-15 (ESV) tells us that –And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.Â
When was the last time you really prayed the last time you got on your knees and talk to god from the groaning as of your soul and not for the benefit of others here’s? First John five verses fourteen through fifteen assures us of this. This is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us and if we know that he hears us whatever we ask we know that we have what we have asked of him.
As sons and daughters of the god of creation we have special access to him we ask and he hear us we can climb into our father’s lap and he will look straight in the eyes and really listen to our hearts then he will answer. His hands are open to us he gives grace upon grace even though it may not always look the way we expect he will always answer according to his good and perfect will.
So today really pray with me still your mind and bow your head and talk to god from the core of your heart. Let’s break. Father God, you adopted me into your family you gave me a new birth and new life I bear your name and I am yours. Thank you for letting me come right into your presence at any time. Here I am today dirty and broken but ready for you to work in my heart and my life. Search the depths of my heart god you know my desires and my needs. Give me the things I need even if it comes with pain and sacrifice. I ask also for the things I want I know that you can do anything so I ask that you would. But if it is not your will. Change my heart. In Jesus’s name amen.
