God Hears You || Psalm 116:1-2 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses
Psalm 116:1-2 (ESV) tells us that – I love the Lord because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
It’s four AM. The darkness feels oppressive. No more oppressive than the silence from god. When you. Whisper his name. Have you ever felt that silence? Well, you’re in good company king David. A man after god’s own heart. Cried out to God why have you forgotten me how much longer lord will you ever remember me. How long will you hide your face from me? Ponder that today. Have you ever felt that? Silence. How does it feel?
Will you join me as we pray from psalms chapter one hundred and sixteen. For god to hear us the assurance that he does. Dear heavenly father I can so relate. To the father asking Jesus to heal his little boy, I’ve often cried that prayer to you before. The lord god I do believe you know that. But please help me overcome it. My unbelief. I know you hear me. Your scriptures assure me that you do. Help me when I don’t hear from you. I love you, Lord, because. You are lord I love knowing you hear me you continue to hear me. You hear my voice you hear my prayers. You hear my asks. My please my cries. My needs. Yes, there are times I don’t hear you. But I know you were there.
I cannot even imagine. The four hundred years of silence. From you between that profit Malachi in when a baby cried in a manger. It makes my cries to hear from you seem. Pretty pathetic but my heart. Aches for you so often I will continue to call on you for as long as I live. Give me faith. To keep calling. Give me the faith to know you are listening. This is the confidence we have in approaching you that if we ask anything according to your will. You hear us. You are Always. Our refuge and our strength you’re Always Than Ever present. Our help in trouble. Help me know your will and help me pray to you. In the name of your son. And it’s in his name I pray. Amen.
