Luke 2:7 (ESV) tells us “And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger because there was no place for them in the inn.”
Welcome to this time for god to lift you up when you feel. Low. It’s common to feel like others are above you sometimes you may feel like they have more money or privilege or respect to them then you do. You may even feel like you get all the work while they get all the fun. Yet god. Often works in the places where. We seem the lowest.
In Luke chapter two verse seven. It says. Mary gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no place for them. In the end. Wow. Talk about a low place. The king of kings the creator of the universe had no place in the in.
Jesus traded the throne of heaven. For the food trough where she. Slob word and chew their cut. He exchanged his glorious body. For that of a tiny human body. Yet. Through this humility Jesus rescued you. God raised the name of Jesus above. All Other names.
So take time now to tell god where you feel low. Open your spirit to her how he’s working there. God. Already see issue lifted up in Jesus he can lift you up even higher. Than you. Ever imagined all the way to heaven.
Dear god. I admit that sometimes I struggle with joyful humility. So help me to have this same attitude is Jesus to become so humble that I’m willing to obey god. No matter what it cost me. I choose to open myself up and make room for Jesus to make room for him in my spirit my soul in my body. I receive your grace to help me live with joyful humility. Before you and others. Each day. Amen.
I hope you’ll allow the Holy Spirit to hold you here in this place for a few more moments and just let his piercing grace fill you. And if you feel hello. Ask Jesus to sit there with you. Allow Jesus to lift you up. So you can walk in the. One. Ending strength of a god.
