Live a Worry-Free Life || Matthew 6:34 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses
Matthew 6:34 (ESV) tells us that “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
Years ago the poet Robert Frost wrote the reason why I worry kills more people than work is because more people worry than work but really think about that for a moment seriously worry has become our favourite pastime it consumes us were worried about the political climate were worried about the world were worried about our families were worried.
Just a fill in the blank I mean really how do you feel after watching the news or a news program maybe some of the stuff we see on social media how do you think it affects you I know it affects me so what are the things that were you most right now today let’s give them to god because he’s in control were not in Matthew six thirty-fourth birthday it talks about worrying it says so don’t worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will bring its own worries today’s trouble is enough for today.
Help me, father lord, I admit that I worry. Too much Whenever I hear the news or watch news channel it just seems that the world is falling apart at the seams the father your word should if you are in control lord lead us and guide us help us to humble ourselves and to turn from anything that’s not a view into a turn towards you and lord I just lift up this whole political situation I lift up this nation in the world.
To you Today you know everything that’s going on and you are in control the lord helps us to remember that give us that peace and that knowledge that you are in control and that we can trust to you help me not to worry about tomorrow or next week or month or next year help me to lean on you to turn it over to you father. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
