Seek Humility and Be Kind || Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses
Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV) tells us that – Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others.
Most of us would like to think of ourselves as kind and unselfish but if we are honest we are not.
Today’s world of self fees and shameless self-promotion selfishness is routed into our daily habits thank you for joining me today as we meditate on Philippians two-three through four which says do nothing from selfishness or indie conceit but with humility of mind regard, one another as more important than yourselves do not merely look out for your own personal interests but also for the interests of others how different would the world look if each of us pursued humility what if we really went around believing in the dignity and value of each person we encountered and started to look out for their interests today I challenge you to look around you set aside your own agenda and start to truly see the other people you encounter today to join me in today’s prayer.
Jesus, you are the perfect example of humility you came down from your throne in heaven and submitted yourself to the worst torture the worst betrayal and unfairly took the punishment for the sins of mankind. But you did it because you love us help me today to see other people as you see them let me pay attention to the things they need and give me the humility to love them well in your holy name amen.
