1 John 3:18 (ESV) reminds us, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

You know so many of us have good intentions we really want to do what we’re supposed to do we hear what we should do but do we actually do it first John three eighteen reminds us that words and actions matter when it comes to god’s kingdom it says dear children let’s not merely say that we love each other let us show the truth by our actions.

Can be private intimate secret and expressed in our hearts however it is meant to propel us into holy action I think sometimes we we mean to we want to we’re willing but the flesh is weak when we pray for love to grow in our lives and yet don’t take opportunities to love the people in our lives well that’s not a good thing we’re actually in danger of becoming Pharisees now I know what you’re thinking what waited I’m not a Pharisee but when you take a moment to consider if your faith actually lead you to action or if your faith is all talk James tells us that faith without works in other words without obedience is actually a dead faith is their fruit being produced in your life do your words match your actions.

Heavenly father lord we confronted with that lord I realize that many times I am like the Pharisees I can be hypocritical the lord I do not want to be like that help me to be obedient to the truths you have taught me to fill me with your spirit so that your grace and love moves through me and pours out of me into this dying and lost world lord when I open my mouth give me the right words to say help me to pray for the sick help me to comfort those that mourn help me to feed those that are hungry and lord help me to be your hands and feet every day speak through me lord in Jesus name. Amen.
