Short Bible Verses || Proverbs 22:22 (ESV) Bible Verses

Proverbs 22:22 (ESV) reminds us that, “Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honour.

How persistent are you king Solomon the wisest man in history is in proverbs 21: 21 whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find righteousness and honor but who is righteous besides god. No one so we can’t pursue righteousness without pursuing him

Solomon is telling us that if we pursue God we will find him and when we get god in our life we also get his life righteousness and honor but if we’re honest it’s really rare to feel that way I don’t feel very righteous when I pray and a lot of times I don’t especially feel loved so often I feel like my words are hitting the ceiling and bouncing off well Solomon gives us a clue into one of the most important aspects of prayer persistence pursued god run after him until you find him and then hold on Jesus told a parable about God in prayer a persistent widow bugs a local judge for justice and bothers him so much that he finally gives her what she wants a neighbor needs food for a visitor so he keeps knocking on the door until he gets what he needs consider this do you keep pursuing God in prayer and keep asking and knocking.

Are there things that you’ve given up on and I’m talking to myself here too I think we all do that are we asking are we seeking and are we, not king are we persistent what are some prayers that you’ve given up on that need to be revisited heavenly father lord you alone are righteous horde I have no righteousness within me. You alone lover unfailingly and unconditionally help me to pursue you for you and not what I get out of it your reward for gifs lord I admit that I oftentimes I don’t feel your presence when I pray seems like my days are so busy just being busy even in the middle of prayer or reading your work my mind wanders back to my schedule I’m a father lord help me to concentrate on you and to seek you with every fiber of my being to give you my full heart and my full attention.

Lord knows things that I’ve given up on those needs that I brought before you. Lord don’t let me lose hope help me to be persistent. Knowing that you are a good good father and that you give good gifts to your children helps me to be like that persistent widow and that nagging neighbour helps me to trust in you lead me and guide me. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
