The Essential Truth || Matthew 1:21 (ESV) || Short Bible Verses

Matthew 1:21 (ESV) tells us that – She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

Hi and welcome back to a time of guided prayer on a bite. So in the midst of the craziness of our day surrounded by things that look spiritual but may be empty. Here’s the essential question. Have you seen Jesus for who he is? So for our time lets you and I reflect on this one essential truth.

Martin Luther once said if anyone stands firm and right on this point that Jesus Christ is true God and true man who died and rose again for us all the other articles of the Christian faith will fall in place for them and firmly sustained. So imagine being Joseph for a moment Jesus is the earthly father. Joseph’s fiance was pregnant not by him. He was trying to figure out what to do. So he gets a supernatural visit by an angel who told me exactly who this baby would be. The proverbial scales fell from Joseph’s size and he saw Jesus for who he was and who he would be. Joseph saw the fullness of God in this child Jesus. Sister to settle down to a posture before god something comfortable and relaxing. But even your breathing.

A prayer before god right now. And today I want you to gently Cup your hands. As though holding a baby in your arms. But as you also remember that you are posturing yourself before the creator of the universe. Take several moments in posture yourself now before god. Listen carefully now is I read about Jesus from Matthew chapter one verse twenty one. And she will have a son. And you are to name him Jesus for he will save his people from sense. Your Jesus. You save me from my sin. You save me from wrath in misery. Both now and forever. Because you came and gave me grace. He now reigns in my soul. No matter what happens in this broken world I can hold tightly to hope because you have forged a path to heaven with your perfect sacrifice.

Help me to focus on that critical truth thank you god truly came in the flesh you died in a rose for me in your rain is king in heaven. In your name alone be glory and honour forever. Amen. Now slowly start to open your eyes in take a deep cleansing breath and that time feels today. How can you find time to pause today before you rush out into the world in focus on who Jesus is. And I invite you to come back here often to connect deeply with God in guided prayer on a bi.
