John 1:14 (ESV) tells us that – And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
It’s December so Christmas is in full swing lights are up decorations are out it’s a wonderful life comes on TV every few hours it seems that everyone is in a festivity mode but here’s the real question what are you celebrating John one fourteen says the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we have seen his glory glory as of the only son from the father full of grace and truth.
This is big this is not a nice nativity scene or a cute story in a children’s Bible this is the story of our holy tornal god stepping down from his throne and entering our dirty fallen earth. This is the story of the immortal putting on a human body to bring us to hope for the life he embodied grace and truth love and justice. And because of Jesus Christ, we have peace in our hearts and life eternal. So as you celebrate Christmas this season remember the one who saved you and gives praise to the king of heaven and earth.
Pray with me now. Jesus came to earth so that we could have hope second Corinthians four-six says for a God who said light shall shine out of darkness is the one who has shown in our hearts. I am humbled that you opened my eyes so that I could see you as saviour and king. Let me trust you and follow you with my whole heart my whole life. In your holy name amen.
