What is your greatest temptation? | Psalm 119:9 (ESV) | Short Bible Verses

Psalm 119:9 (ESV) tells us that – How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.

Hello, I love it. Roller coasters the anticipation. Buckling in. My heart pounding the clocking as I go up the first hill. The wait time. Stops on the pinnacle. And then. Holding on through the endless loops turns and rollovers. It’s funny. Even though I know buckled in securely I hold on tight so tight my knuckles turn white. Why.

Join me in prayer about that from psalm one nineteen verse nine where it says how can a young man keep his way pure. By guarding it according to your word. Notice it doesn’t say we can stay pure by holding on tight and hoping for the best so why do I hold on so tight during a roller coaster.

Because. Maybe in my heart. I don’t believe the seat belt will hold me. Even though it’s been tested by PH dis and roller coaster engineering I need to white knuckle it just to make sure am I saying the same. About my trust in the lord. Even though the creator of the universe says he has my life in his hands I need to white knuckle it just to make sure maybe if I squeeze in a hold on a little tighter I can manage this next wave of sinful temptation myself how has that worked out so far how is it worked out for you.

Join me in prayer about relying on god’s word. Dear Lord Jesus. My protector and defender. When facing temptations. Trials and tragedies in my life. Help me remember to stay. Pure and focused by guarding my life with your word. Lord. Please help me to put it. And keep my trust in you with all my heart and do not lean. On myself and white knuckles. For peace and understanding remember that I can cast all my anxieties on you because you care for me that I can trust in you forever. Because you are my everlasting rock. And will supply every need I have. According to the riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Remembering. That you. Abide in me and I abide in you. And it is in Christ Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
